It’s everybody’s favorite time of year! SPOOKY SEASON! As some of this year’s spooky-themed items start to hit shelves, Hershey’s has decided to get in on the fun, declaring the season “Hersheyween”! The Hershey Company has been playing along with Halloween fun for a long time, first introducing colored foil Hershey’s Kisses (orange and black) to celebrate the holiday in 1968 and first releasing iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins and York Peppermint Batty in 1993 - and this season is no exception with a whole slew of goodies being announced for this year’s Halloween season!

Reese’s x Peanuts

2025 is the 75th Anniversary of Peanuts and Hershey is joining in the celebration with a team-up between Reese’s and Peanuts to celebrate “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!” Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang will take over both Reese’s Miniatures and Reese’s Pumpkins, where each wrapper will feature an iconic scene! The Miniatures will feature 7 classic scenes and the Pumpkins will feature 6! “It’s A Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” was my CHILDHOOD and I will forever quote “I got a rock”. I am so excited to find these!

KitKat Counts

This one might vant to suck your blood! Bwa ha ha! Introducing the newest new shape of KitKat - KitKat Counts, which will be available in both snack size and jumbo size bags as well as a mixed bag with Reese’s Bats! I’m very curious how these will be as I expect the Wafer-to-Chocolate ratio to be different than your average KitKat! Fans of KitKat GHOST TOAST, BREAKING BONES, and WITCH’S BREW will be happy to know that all three are returning this year in addition to new KitKat Counts!

Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme x Harry Potter

Our second collaboration of Hersheyween takes us to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Fans will be able to snag Snack Size bags of Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme bars that will feature their favorite wizarding world characters including Hedwig, Dobby, Buckbeak, and Fawkes.

Reese’s Mini Pumpkins Unwrapped

Hershey’s wants to help you get into the Halloween spirit with a poppable take on the iconic pumpkins! REESE’S Mini Pumpkins Unwrapped feature the classic combination of creamy peanut butter and milk chocolate in a smaller, easily poppable delight - perfect for festive snacking or sharing (if you must). Reese’s Pumpkins are EASILY my favorite Halloween treat that I look forward to each year, so these are going on my hunt list for sure! I’m sure glad the bag reseals, otherwise I might just have to eat the whole thing in one sitting! (Who am I kidding, I might anyway.)

Jolly Rancher Gummies Trickies

Here’s a fun one: Jolly Ranchers Gummies Trickies! Described as “A Mash Up of Colors, Flavors, and Shapes” - Each gummy is bursting with one of five bold flavors, but the flavor may not necessarily match the color to play a trick on your tastebuds and keep you guessing! This is a really fun concept that I’d love to see more brands jump on board with.

Hershey’s Nuggets Pumpkin Spice Latte

Last (but certainly not least) for all of the fall enthusiasts out there, Hershey’s will introduce their first fall harvest flavor in six years - Hershey’s Nuggets Pumpkin Spice Latte. Leaning into a consumer favorite and fall classic, Hershey’s Nuggets are the perfect sized milk chocolate treat with pumpkin spice latte flavored crème. I believe several creators have found these in stores already but I have not had such luck. They are on my list though as they sound delicious! Along with the new Hershey’s Nuggets, Hershey’s also announced that they are also bringing back the beloved Cadbury Caramello Miniatures as well as Cadbury Mini Harvest Handfuls!

When are these items hitting shelves?

Right now!! If you haven’t spotted these goodies just yet, keep looking as Hershey’s says they are on their way NOW! I will leave you with a quote from Hershey’s themselves talking about the excitement this year from Hershey’s!

When Wild Bill’s announced a collaboration with RingPop (owned by The Bazooka Companies, LLC) in 2024 to release a line of sodas, I knew this was a product I wanted to check out. Originally launching with Berry Blast and Blue Raspberry, the line later expanded to include Watermelon and Strawberry. This is a product that has been on my “Hunt List” for a very long time and I am excited to have finally stumbled across some cans at a Busch’s Fresh Food Market in Michigan. While these aren’t “NEW”, they’re new to me so I am excited to crack all four open and share my thoughts with you!

Each soda features cane sugar, no gluten, and no caffeine! Without further ado, let’s crack them open and see how they stack up!

#4 - Wild Bill’s RingPop Berry Blast

I don’t know if I just wasn’t a fan of the Berry Blast RingPop growing up or what, but this one has a sort of “funk” to it that I can’t quite place that I didn’t run into with any of the other RingPop sodas. It’s certainly not a bad flavor and I do feel like it captures the essence of RingPops well, but something about it has turned me off from this one in particular.

RATING:

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥½❌❌❌❌ - 6.5/10 While Berry Burst was a fun try (and arguably one of the most iconic RingPop flavors) ultimately this ended up being my least favorite of the four.
Craveability: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌❌❌- 5/10 Admittedly I did come around to it just enough to finish the can, but I can’t see a world where I wouldn’t select one of the other flavors over this one in the future.
Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌ - 8/10 I believe I paid around $2 for a 12 oz can of this - and while I don’t think it’s the best value in the world of sodas, I think the quality of the soda makes it definitely worth the price point.

OVERALL: 6.5/10

#3 - Wild Bill’s RingPop Watermelon

Watermelon flavored things are very hit-or-miss for me. I am not a fan of watermelon Jolly Ranchers, but love watermelon Airheads. I remember being a huge fan of the Watermelon flavored RingPop as a kid and this one is really taking me back to my childhood. This works well and I keep going back for more sips.

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌ - 8/10 Incredibly spot on to the RingPop flavor and the lack of artificial sweeteners allows the watermelon flavor to shine in ways that many watermelon flavored things are not able to!
Craveability: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌❌- 7/10 While it’s not my favorite of the bunch, I finished this can and I would definitely pick it up again. This one is tied the closest to nostalgia for me and for that alone I’d love to grab this again.
Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌ - 8/10 I believe I paid around $2 for a 12 oz can of this - and while I don’t think it’s the best value in the world of sodas, I think the quality of the soda makes it definitely worth the price point.

OVERALL: 7.6/10

#2 - Wild Bill’s RingPop Blue Raspberry

(Not so) fun fact: I didn’t actually have the pleasure of enjoying this entire can as when I was bringing in shopping bags from the store, I evidently placed the bag with the RingPop sodas on the ground too hard and ever so slightly cracked this can open, making a great deal of the can spill inside the bag. I’m not bitter, you’re bitter.

Never mind that - it is very difficult to mess up blue raspberry and I think Wild Bill’s absolutely nails it here, once again really channeling the vibes of RingPop incredibly well. While it’s not my favorite of the bunch, it’s certainly close.

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥½❌❌ - 8.5/10 This one gets a slight edge in taste over watermelon. It’s not often that you get a really great, natural tasting blue raspberry flavored soda and this has done just that. It is smooth and it is incredibly pleasant to sip on.
Craveability: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌- 8/10 Maybe it’s because I wasn’t able to drink an entire can, but I’m already looking to see where I can acquire more of this - this is a great flavor and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get it again.
Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌ - 9/10 I believe I paid around $2 for a 12 oz can of this - and while I don’t think it’s the best value in the world of sodas, I think the quality of the soda makes it definitely worth the price point - particularly given how strong of a flavor Blue Raspberry is.

#1 - Wild Bill’s RingPop Strawberry

My bias is going to show a little bit here. I am a sucker for a good strawberry flavored product, and gosh does Wild Bill’s really nail it here. I had to check to make sure strawberry juice wasn’t included in the ingredients list. RingPop Strawberry manages to have both a candy-like and simultaneously natural strawberry flavor that leaves a pleasant aftertaste as well. If you’re as big of a strawberry fan as I am, this is definitely one to check out.

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥½❌ - 9.5/10 This is easily the best flavor in the lineup (standing among a line of incredible sodas). My bias may be showing - but this did not disappoint.
Craveability: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌- 9/10 Give me more of it immediately please I will buy this by the truckload.
Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌ - 9/10 I believe I paid around $2 for a 12 oz can of this - and while I don’t think it’s the best value in the world of sodas, I think the quality of the soda makes it definitely worth the price point - particularly given how strong of a flavor Strawberry is.

Liquid Death is always up to some of the craziest collaborations imaginable, from teaming up with a whiskey brand, to partnering with Metallica, to teaming up with Sheetz to literally cut your Sheetz Sandwich with a chainsaw, Liquid Death does it all! But this collaboration that we’re talking today is one that I would have never seen coming, ever! Enter, Cereal Criminal!

What is Cereal Criminal and where can I find it?

Cereal Criminal is an epic collaboration with Post’s Fruity Pebbles and is described by Liquid Death’s Senior VP of Marketing as tasting “just like Fruity Pebbles and milk, but it’s sparkling water with 3 grams of sugar, 15 calories, and no artificial sweeteners. Now you can drink breakfast all day long.” I have to wonder why it isn’t called Cereal Killer instead. The pun is right there!

The cereal-milk inspired sparkling water is available now at Walmart, Target, Kroger (and Kroger-owned stores) in 6-packs as well as Amazon in 12-packs, only for a limited time. Liquid Death very graciously sent over a case of Cereal Criminal for us to try so let’s crack it open and see how it stacks up!

LIQUID DEATH X FRUITY PEBBLES CEREAL CRIMINAL

I don’t know how they’ve done it, but both in taste and smell, I am absolutely getting the Fruity Pebbles flavor. Make no mistake - this is very much still a sparkling water, so if you go into this expecting it to just taste like a fruity cereal milk experience, you may be a little bit disappointed.

I’m torn on this, because part of me really loves how well that Liquid Death has captured the Fruity Pebbles essence here. As soon as the flavor hits your mouth, the flavor is fantastic, but once it goes down the flavor leaves a lot to be desired.

As much as I hate to look at the ingredients list and point at one ingredient on the list and say “This is what’s tanking the flavor” - Cereal Criminal uses Stevia and I can’t help but wish they would have gone for something else instead. (I believe other flavors of Liquid Death do as well.)

If you’re a fan of sparking water and you love Fruity Pebbles cereal and you aren’t bothered by stevia in drinks - I think you’ll definitely love this one. I do wish it was available in tall boy cans so consumers wouldn’t need to commit to a 6-pack to try it, but I do think it was a fun try, even though I wouldn’t say it is exactly my cup of tea.

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌❌❌ - 6/10 While I really enjoyed the flavor of the Fruity Pebbles coming thru and working way better than I expected from a sparkling water, the stevia takes away the enjoyment of the drink faster than I expected it to.
Craveability: 🔥🔥❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌- 2/10 I’ll be honest, as excited as I was when I cracked into the can, I don’t know if I will be able to finish it, yet alone be eager to grab another one.

Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌❌❌❌ - 5/10 While this pack was gifted to me, I think that the price of $6.48 (on Walmart) for a 6-pack and around $14 for a 12-pack on Amazon is relatively average. I think if you are not bothered by stevia and are willing to commit to the pack, it is definitely worth it, but it’s hard for me to go higher than a five here.

OVERALL SCORE: 4.3/10

If you know me you know that I am a HUGE fan of Ghost Energy. I was originally introduced to the brand by trying their soon-to-be-discontinued Swedish Fish variant and immediately fell in love and made it my mission to try each and every flavor of GHOST energy. While fan favorite Sour Strips has still evaded me, I have tried and enjoyed almost every other flavor in the lineup with favorites including Welch’s Grape Juice, Strawbango, and Iced Tea Lemonade. So whenever GHOST teases a new flavor, you know I am all over it to find it and secure it for myself!

What’s the hype behind GHOST?

Aside from the super fun (and incredibly accurate to taste) collaborations that I lightly touched on before, GHOST stands out from the rest of the Energy Drink crowd by containing both zero sugar and zero artificial dyes - notably at no cost to flavor whatsoever!

Tell me about GHOST Raspberry Cream

GHOST Raspberry Cream is the newest addition to the ever-growing lineup of flavors. After a “Secure-A-Can” raffle where fans could win one can for the cost of shipping, Raspberry Cream will soon drop for a limited time on GHOST’s website towards the end of August and then ultimately land on store shelves nationwide in September for a limited time. (The target date is September 15th, 2025!) We were lucky enough to have a case sent over by the brand, so let’s dive right in and see how GHOST Raspberry Cream stacks up against the rest!

GHOST RASPBERRY CREAM ENERGY

Y’all - this is pretty fantastic.

Off the rip, I am almost reminded of Rockstar Energy’s BOOM line which features different creamy flavors like Whipped Strawberry. I think what is particularly noteworthy about this comparison is that Rockstar’s BOOM flavors contain quite a lot of sugar while GHOST has managed to nail a flavor profile of a very similar caliber without any sugar at all.

The raspberry overpowers the “cream” portion of the flavor a little bit more than I would like but the flavors still marry in a way that leaves a very satisfying aftertaste in my mouth. While I would not say that this cracks my top three favorite GHOST flavors, this is definitely a flavor that I will be adding to my regular rotation of flavors while it is available.

As of the time of publication, GHOST has never disappointed me with a flavor and that streak continues with Raspberry Cream. Another solid flavor. If you’re a fan of Raspberry or you’re a fan of Rockstar BOOM, you’ll want to add this one to your shopping list.

RATING:

Taste: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌❌ - 8/10 GHOST has never disappointed me with a flavor. The only way this could be a bit higher is if the cream flavor was a little bit stronger and the raspberry flavor was a little bit weaker.
Craveability: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❌- 9/10 The creamy aftertaste this drink leaves in your mouth is really good at making you want to crack open another can. It almost makes me feel like I just got done having some JELL-O and Whipped Cream.

Value: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 - 10/10 While this can was gifted to me, I have always felt that GHOST drinks are some of the most competitively priced energy drinks in the industry - particularly if you can catch them on sale somewhere.

OVERALL SCORE: 9/10

So this week, Honey Bunches of Oats (@honeybunchesofoats) teased this fake product in celebration of National Chicken Wing Day on July 29th.

Post describes the "Should be Real" product as seasoning that "would be packed with the signature Honey Bunches of Oats flavor you crave, plus a savory twist. Think golden flakes, rich honey, toasty granola, warm brown sugar, and a crave-worthy blend of herbs and spices that make wings sing. Sweet, salty, crunchy, golden. Chef’s kiss doesn’t even cover it. It’s as if brunch and game day had a baby."

I've gotta be honest with y'all - this sounds fantastic. I'm a huge fan of sweet and savory and just picturing this being used for some Chicken and Waffles sounds delectable. (I can't even imagine how many other ways it could be used)!
